There is no one like you

Around 20 years ago, you were chosen to be part of Growing Up in Australia: The Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC), and we’d love to reconnect.

We recently sent an invitation to participants who have not been involved in the study for some time to ask if they would like to re-join the study. Are you ready to reconnect?

The Reconnect survey is a short, online survey for participants who have not completed a recent Growing Up in Australia survey. The young adult survey, for participants aged between 20 and 26 years, will take around 10 to 15 minutes to complete. The parent/guardian survey will take around 5 minutes to complete. Participants who submit their survey responses will receive an instant electronic (e-gift) gift card.

Upon completion of the Reconnect survey, young adult participants receive a $50 e-gift card and parents/guardian participants will receive a $20 e-gift card.

How to access your survey

The online survey can be completed between the 23 September and 3 November 2024. Access our secure online survey using the unique QR code or weblink available on your invitation letter. If you cannot locate these, please call the Growing Up in Australia team on 1800 005 508 (9am - 5pm AEST) for assistance.

The survey links are unique to each individual, so be sure not to share it with anyone else. You can use your laptop or smartphone for ease of completion, and just like in our regular survey, for most questions, if you would prefer not to answer a question you can skip it.

Future Participation

After you complete your ‘Reconnect survey’, we will invite you to take part in the next round of the Growing Up in Australia study. For young adults, this will involve an online survey, plus a face-to-face survey at your preferred location with one of our trained interviewers. For parents and guardians, you may be asked to complete a telephone survey. We will be in touch to notify you when it is time for this.
