LSAC data dictionary
The data dictionaries provide information about all variables in LSAC over the course of the study, including variable names, variable labels, items, cohort, wave, and populations. The Time Use Data, Cogstate, NAPLAN, MySchool, Event History Calendar and Distance to Coast data dictionaries are separate additional worksheets within the data dictionary.

The LSAC Data Dictionary is available in three formats:
Our Online Data Dictionary is an interactive platform within this website. It features several ways of navigating the LSAC metadata, including exploring the topics and constructs in LSAC, and directed searching by keyword or variable name.
The downloadable Excel Data Dictionary contains all the same metadata as the online version. We recommend this for users who are more advanced, require custom filtering of the metadata, or need offline access.
We also produce a print-friendly PDF version of the Data Dictionary. This contains only the metadata in the main LSAC survey data files.
